Who represents your community in Winston-Salem?

We are seeking people with stories that are quintessentially ‘Winston-Salem’. Whether it be someone who worked in the Hanes factory for decades or a budding athlete, artist or scholar that other young people can look up to. We’re looking for stories from minority communities that showcase the cultural diversity of the city. We’re looking for new immigrants, as well as residents whose families have a long history in the city. We’re searching for people that have inspirational stories that are strongly connected to the people of Winston-Salem.

Nominate a community member to participate in a photography and storytelling workshop in June 2019. Eight residents from each ward will be selected.
