Mohommed Herb and Robert E. Leak III
For more than 40 years, Mohommed Herb has been a cornerstone in the Island community of East Winston. Through his store, Herb’s Bargains, he mentors black businesses and “wants to see black people wake up and do for self.”
An activist and organizer since the age of 15, Pastor Robert E. Leak III focuses on poverty, education, housing and discrimination. He is also a minister of the Gospel and a mentor to young black men.

Robert has been a community activist since the age of 17. He has led his community to be a better/safe place to live. He serves the Easton community south east of Winston-Salem through the Easton Neighborhood Association. He is also pastor of his church, leading youth to the right direction.
