Willie Mason, Angela Young and Gabriel Bottazzi

As a minister of music, Willie Mason loves to motivate those around him by “raising the sounds of joy.” He has been a steadfast worker and contributor in Winston-Salem’s tobacco and medical industries.

Drawing from personal experience, Angela Young founded a health insurance agency and volunteers to help survivors of domestic violence. “Through different eyes and different lives, we are all similar.”

Gabriel Bottazzi, a leader in the Hispanic League, pursues ongoing education in healthcare administration to find solutions for health disparities within his community.

Gabriel is doing an amazing job helping with health disparities in our growing Hispanic community. This past May, he received his Masters in Healthcare Administration. He is married and has two children, and he is a very vibrant individual with a big heart.

Angela is a domestic violence survivor, caring mother of four children and a social entrepreneur leading a young insurance company. I captured her portrait by asking her to think about the moments before and after she was surviving.
